Each year, the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (LEAF) proudly hosts the New Staff Stampede, a lively and welcoming event for all new employees joining Lamar CISD. Held after new staff orientation and just before the first day of school, this special evening sets the tone for a positive, connected, and inspiring start to their journey in the district.

The Stampede is more than just a welcome, it’s a celebration. New team members enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner, an engaging program, fun games and prizes, live music, and plenty of opportunities for networking and memorable photos.

This unforgettable kickoff is made possible through the incredible support of our generous donor community, whose partnership allows us to honor and energize our educators from day one.
